2018年京都国立博物館において開催された「特別展 池大雅」の展覧会図録。
これまで、何度か池大雅の展覧会は開催されていますが、本展覧会の作品選定、展覧会の構成は大変勉強になります。
池大雅が人物として成長していく過程で、どの様な交友関係があったのかを作品や手紙の図版付きで丁寧に説明されています。
また大雅が、どの様な中国絵画や画譜を見て勉強していたのかも知る事ができます。
代表作はもちろん、新出作品も大変できの良い作品ばかり。
図版の画像も綺麗で、最後に略年譜、落款、印章も一覧にしてくれているのも嬉しいです。
大きな全集や画集を買わなくても、この一冊あれば十分です。

The exhibition catalogue for the 2018 special exhibition Ike Taiga at the Kyoto National Museum.
Although Ike Taiga’s exhibitions have been held several times in the past, the selection of works for this exhibition and the composition of the exhibition are very instructive.
The book carefully explains the kind of friendships Ike Taiga had during his development as a character, with illustrations of his works and letters.
We can also learn what kind of Chinese paintings and art books Taiga studied from.
Not only representative works, but also newly released works are all very good works.
The images of the illustrations are also beautiful, and I’m glad that they list the abbreviated annals, articles of incorporation, and seals at the end of the book.
You don’t have to buy a big collection of books or art books to get this one.
